The 'Best in customer service' as per Ethos Consultancy Survey
Dubai, UAE; November 24, 2010: Award winning retail jeweller, Pure Gold Jewellers has retained its coveted position as the UAE’s leading jewellery retailer by topping the Best Customer Service category in the annual ‘Retail Benchmarking Study’ by Ethos Consultancy. This is the second year in a row that Pure Gold Jewellers has scored first in the jewellery sector in the survey by the international consultancy. Last year the retailer set a record of 90% for customer service which it surpassed this year by scoring an impressive 95.6%.

Ethos Consultancy did the survey through 400 physical location visits to a total of 164 retail outlets covering 40 various brands representing eight different business sectors. Pure Gold Jewellers was voted number two in the overall ranking and number one in the jewellery sector for ‘'Best Customer Service', retaining its position from last year. Mystery shoppers from the consultancy visited the company’s various outlets in the UAE. The overall aim of the research was to establish how the outlet staff dealt with prospective customers enquiring about making a purchase, whether the staff attempts to up-sell, cross-sell and add on products and if they are proficient and enthusiastic in regards to product knowledge. Overall customer service and sales performance of each of the outlets were also taken into consideration.
"Pure Gold Jewellers ranked high in all the various measures and came top in sales execution and service quality in the jewellery sector," said Ryan McMaster, Operations Director, Ethos Consultancy. "They are truly a benchmark for customer service in the UAE retail sector."
The award winning retailer is also the recipient of the 'Best Performance Brand' award in the large business category for three consecutive years (since 2007) under the Dubai Service Excellence Scheme (DSES) of the Dubai Department of Economic Development.

In 2004, Pure Gold Jewellers became the First ISO 9001:2000 certified retail jeweller in the Middle East. We are now upgraded to ISO 9001:2008.
